Cellar
Don Alfonso 1890’s cellar , which was originally an ancient Roman tunnel, contains a cheese aging room (25 meters underground). This cellar is a gourmet connoisseur’s paradise, as it is here that prestigious wines, along with unique bottles selected by the house wine expert, are stored. The selection of wines served during a meal at the Don Alfonso 1890 restaurant may either classically or surprisingly complement the dishes, depending on the wine steward’s creative whim. The wines may be sampled and enjoyed in either the restaurant lounge, or in the hotel garden.
